Shibuya Miko is a bubbly fantasy-enthusiast, mother of two sons / devoted yet flirty wife, and expert fencer - her nickname means "Jennifer of [Yoko]hama / the Beach" and comes from her days of active fencing. Jennifer's ability to believe the fantastic is best described by when her husband proposed: he told her he was a Mazoku* and, instead of bolting for the door, she asked eagerly about his wings and if his children would be born with wings, which she thought would be adorable. She will not be surprised by many of the "strange" things about Rivelata, so much as she will be extremely disappointed if/when she finds out that things are not all sunshine and rainbows.

In her own excitable way, she is still a quintessential mother; she loves her family, will do anything to protect them, and worries about them while simultaneously doting on them. By the end of the TV series, her "family" has extended beyond her husband ("Uma-chan") and two sons (Yuuri and Shouri) to include Yuuri's fiance (Wolfram), Yuuri's godfather (Conrad, also Wolfram's brother), Yuuri's best friend (Murata Ken), and Gwendal (elder brother of both Conrad and Wolfram). Without any of them around, she will probably just meander and act like a tourist under the mistaken belief that Rivelata is actually somewhere in The Alternate World where Yuuri is the Maou**.

Her life has primarily been a domestic one, especially after marrying; while her husband worked, she dressed her boys up like girls, let them play sports, and now is just trying to support them - Shouri is in college as well as training to be the Maou of her native world, while Yuuri is learning-by-experience how to be the Maou of The Alternate World. She can be serious if need be, but it is usually brought on by a bout of nostalgia.

*Mazoku = "Demon Race"; they have about a 5-fold lifespan of normal humans and some elemental powers best used in battle
